Have you heard about the Velvet Thruster dildo by Velvet Brands? If you're a fan of sex toys, then you probably have -- and you've probably seen all the hype surrounding this colorful thrusting dildo toy. Well, I was lucky enough to get my hands on this bad boy and several of its attachments a couple of weeks ago, and after thoroughly testing it, I have quite a bit to say about it.
Before I begin this review, I should offer the disclaimer that I received this sex toy as part of an affiliate package. I did receive this item for free -- a value of over $500 -- in exchange for my honest feedback as well as the promise to market it with my affiliate code PEACHY20. If you're interested in purchasing this item with my code, I will receive compensation from Velvet Brands. However, this will not affect the authenticity and honesty of this review. With all of that said, let's begin the review:
The Jackie Prime
I received the Jackie Prime base model in the mint green option -- which was pretty neat, since that's one of my favorite colors and I had just painted my nails thee very same color just days prior to its arrival (I didn't choose the color of the model, as it was a randomly assorted affiliate package). I don't want to say that this is the smallest model in the series of dildo heads offered by Velvet Brands, but out of the attachments they sent me, they only got larger from here. So, if you're someone with a..uhm...tight hole...you might want to consider the options.
The Jackie attachment is a standard 7" penis, with about 1.5" girth and an attempt at lifelike veining for texture.
As far as the size goes, I liked Jackie. However, the texture and overall feel of this toy was just a little too artificial.
Edward
The Edward attachment has a slight bend to it, and is a light bit skinnier and longer than the Jackie attachment. The texture wasn't any different from Jackie, but the slight curve in the end offered some fun stimulation. However, like Jackie, this toy still felt a tad bit unrealistic to me.
Lewis
Welp. This guy barely fit.
I don't know what else to say about Lewis, other than this attachment is definitely meant for someone with a little more...give...down there. My partner and I used copious amounts of lube and he held the toy by one of the provided handle attachments, and it still took a bit of time to get the bulbous head in. Once Lewis was inside, however, he got to work and felt pretty good. However, like the other toys, he just didn't feel real enough for me.

Sammie
Velvet Brands, y'all are trippin'. This humongous beast of a dildo is intimidating and scary and definitely not intended for someone with my anatomy. I didn't even try this one, and I highly doubt that I ever will. This thing is like the son of Moby Huge or something, and has an obscene and anatomically incorrect amount of veining on it. There ain't no way that even the head of this monstrosity would even penetrate me. To be completely honest, the thought of using this attachment gives me mental images of giving birth in reverse. If you're into extreme insertions and ridiculously large dildos, then try it I guess. It's not for me, though.
My thoughts on the Velvet Thruster system and its attachments, overall:
Overall, I don't necessarily dislike this sex toy, but I do think that for the price and all the hype surrounding the "softness" of the texture, that Velvet Brands could have sprung for some lifelike squishy silicone like some of the other more realistic dildos on the market. Other than the larger-than-life sizes of some of their attachments (the average penis size is only around 5.8 to 6", after all), that is truly my only complaint. The soft-velvety feel offered by the Velvet Thruster is really nothing more than matte surfaced standard medical grade silicone that doesn't have the squishiness and lifelike feel of a penis. No matter how textured or smooth these attachments are, without that squishy-stretchy texture of higher-end dildos, these dildo attachments really don't feel any different from the other plastic-feeling dildos you can get anywhere else.
As for the thrusting features: This thing is pretty powerful, and offers a variety of different speeds. It will definitely fuck the shit out of you, especially if you use the suction base and stick it to a wall or something. However, it is apparently not waterproof so I guess that rules out shower fun.
This might not seem like the most positive review, but don't let it sway you from trying out the Velvet Thruster for yourself. Everyone has different tastes and preferences, so this might either be the star of your sex toy collection -- or if might just end up another castaway on the island of forgotten toys.
I really do hope Velvet Brands ups their game with the texture of their dildo attachments (heads), though. While their selection is definitely matte (they call it soft but it really isn't), I think their line of toys could greatly be improved by using more realistic silicone which simulates the sensation of a real penis, especially since this is a thrusting machine that should offer you all of the experience of sexual intercourse with a partner (while solo).
